DAY 2

SALERNO 

PATH OF THE PRINCE:

The Path of the Prince is an interesting hike that starts from the old town of Salerno to reach the Arech's Castle walking up along its hill called Bonadies.

This a pathway that melts the local medieval history with the surrounding  natural space.

During the Middle Age, Salerno has been the Capital of an important Lombard Kingdom. The city was the headquarters of the first Medical School for that period and considered the embrion of modern Universities. Upon reaching the Castle, you will have a great view above the city and the beginning of the Amalfi Coast.

DAY 3

AMALFI COAST

The Path of the Gods:

The Path of the Gods: It’s the most beautiful and well known Pathway in the Amalfi Coast and links the village of Bomerano (Agerola) with the lovely little Hamlet of Nocelle in Positano. The hiking level is medium, charaterized by stunning views of the Mediterranean sea overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, Sorrento Penisula and Island of Capri. Beginning from Bomerano the trail it’s mostly downhill but once arrived in Nocelle you will have added almost 450 feet in elevation.

Hiking Gear Suggestion. We highly recommend the following advice : wearing layers according to the weather conditions and temperature differences. (During the hiking from beginning to end, we sometimes can have a 10 degree difference.)

Hiking boots or good walking shoes, a rain jacket, little backpack and water (1,5 L).

DAY 4

AMALFI COAST

THE MILLS VALLEY:

The Mills Valley is an old pathway that links Scala, a tiny village close to Ravello, with the Center of Amalfi.

The circuit goes up from Amalfi towards the hamlet of Pontone di Scala.

This hike starts in Amalfi. Walking along the path, that leads inside the deep valley, reaching the ruins of paper and iron mills, passing through the ancient industrial area of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi and a state Natural Reserve.

DAY 5

CAPRI 

ISLAND OF LOVE: PATH OF PIZZOLUNGO

Transfer by ferry

Close to the terrace of Tragara is the start of a walk called Pizzolungo, following the coast south of Mount Tuoro. At its beginning you can find a small detour to the Faraglioni. The cliffs are of incomparable beauty, and the pieces of roman pavement in opus spicatum bring back to our minds the roman presence on the island. A bit further, the solitary Monacone reef. During the walk also the houses are marvellous, Cà Tuoro, Il Canile, La Casa Solitaria. Less famous but also typical is Villa Monacone, built around 1880 and home for years of Ciro Spadaro, who restructured it in the local architecture style. After a luxuriant holm oaks bush the path continues to the grotto of Matermania, which opens at about 180 m. on the level of the sea. It was formed by the erosion of waters, and is long 30 meters and 20 meters wide. After the finding of a painted roman marble with the image of Mitra some believed there could have been a temple inside the grotto dedicated the worship of Mitra. Others, instead think the temple was dedicated to Cibale the Magna Mater goodness of fertility from which the dialectal toponym Matromagna. During the times of the empires of Augustus and Tiberius it used to be a nimpheo, a place dedicated to refreshment and luxurious feasts. A few more stairs to go in the green, and you get to the Natural Arch. Two hundred meters on sea level, it is what remained of an underground deep cavity, and it became as we see today after the natural course of nature reshaped it: a breathtaking natural bridge.The way back to the centre passes though the higher area of Capri, via Matermania, Via Croce, and finally the Piazzetta.

 

DAY 6

HIKING VIETRI SUL MARE.

THE TRAIL OF VILLAGES AND HAMLETS
The best way to discover the true Italy is walking through  colorful hamelts and tiny villages where life is enjoyed slowly. 
 From the city of Salerno you will walk along the Amalfi Coast and find the connecting Town of Vietri Sul Mare. Famous all over the world for its handcrafted Ceramics and surrounded by lush hills overlooking the sea. 
 You will get in touch with the nature of this truly unique place and its inhabitants while hiking up through it's five villages. Before the close of the hiking loop and into the Raito, the trail gives you the option to enjoy the visit of Laconti, Dragonea and Benincasa, the three hamlets of Vietri sul Mare. 
In Raito it is possible to have a great experience in the "Vigne of Raito" a lush vineyard owned by Patrizia and his family. During your visit they will give you a tasting of their exquisites wines and hospitality. For sure an amazing experience! Taste it!

DAY 7

AMALFI COAST

BOAT TOUR

Departure at 10:00 am We will sail slowly admiring all the natural beauties and the small seaside villages of Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Atrani, Amalfi, Conca dei Marini, Fiordo di Furore, Praiano and Positano. The tour includes several stops in the sea for unforgettable baths in crystal clear waters and in bays accessible only by boat. The return for 5 PM.

Each boat is equipped with Fresh water shower and ladder to descent into the water.
