SALERNO AND VIETRI SUL MARE

POMPEII and NAPLES

Departure to Pompeiii in bus G.T. and guided tour of the archaeological zone. The city, completely buried from the terrible eruption in 79 AD, preserves intact its native plant. Transfer to Naples and visit with guide of the city, one of the most beautiful and important European capitals.

Its squares: Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza Borsa, Piazza Municipio, Riviera di Chiaia, Posillipo, Piazza Plebiscito, Royal Building (external), Theatre St. Charles, Maschio Angioino. At the end return to the hotel.

POMPEII and VESUVIUS

Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion to Pompeii with language guide. The city, buried in 79 AD by the terrible eruption, of Vesuvius, preserves intact its native plant. At the end excursion to Vesuvius, by bus up to 1000 metres, than walk to the crater.

The Vesuvius is made up of two tops: the most ancient, the Sum Mountain (1132 metres.) and the relatively more recent one, the Vesuvius properly called (1277 metres.), formed during the 79 AD eruption. Return to the hotel.

POZZUOLI AND SOLFATARA

Departure by bus for the Fields Flegrei. Arrival in Pozzuoli. and visit, with tour guide in language, of the Temple of Serapide and of amphitheatre. At the end transfer to Solfatara where you can observe some interesting exwides of volcanic activity: sulphur emission, gas, muds and small craters.
